Spring Forward…

Spring Forward with Renewed Energy, New Vendors and New Products

It’s always painful to lose that hour of sleep every year as the clock springs forward, and daylight savings time begins. With the time change, dark mornings creep back in making it harder to jump out of bed. Although, it does allow for a renewed energy to get out and enjoy the fresh air, sunshine, and new plant life of early Spring. There is something special about new plant life and cutting those first flowers and placing them into your vase to enjoy.

Daylight Savings Time reminds me of the farmers’ market. Every year, we change the clocks, and I immediately feel compelled to explore our local farmers’ markets. A trip to the local farmers' market is full of fun and exploration. There you will find fresh produce, flowers, great conversations, and other goodies from local vendors. It never ceases to amaze me as to what is being sold at the farmers’ markets.

Daylight Savings Time brings more sunshine and a season of change

Spring is a season of change and renewal. I am always eager to usher it in. As the winter months draw to a close, the days get longer, temperatures rise and flowers bloom in anticipation of Summer's arrival. These changes are reflected in our body as well, with increased energy levels, more outdoor adventures, and better digestion from eating fresher foods.

Spring also brings new plant life: trees pollinate; bees collect pollen; birds feed their young with insects caught on these flowers; vegetables are preparing for harvest! All this activity means more sunshine--and more vitamin D! Who doesn’t love a little tan and a healthier body.

For those that have joined our monthly subscription club, this months subscription box is an ‘ode to Spring. Hopefully you feel a bit renewed, a bit adventurous, and an excitement for life. I think you will enjoy all that is in the gift box. As always, hope to see you in the shops soon!

Matt
