THIS ONE’S FOR THE GIRLS

Sessions Cafe, Asheville, NC

Picture this, you’re with your best gal pals and you just got to Asheville for a weekend vacay. The energy is poppin’ and you are ready to have the time of your LIFE. The only problem: you’re not really feeling the whole brewery hopping scene. But you’re in BEER CITY, so what else is there to do? FEAR NOT SISTA.
I’m here with the hottest take on how to conquer Asheville with the girls.

Start your morning at Early Girl Eatery. With three different locations, you can hit whichever one is closest to where you’re staying.  Get the Pork Bowl or the Charleston Chicken Biscuit. Trust me on this one. They also have gluten-free fried chicken that has brought me to tears. (I’m not even gluten-free but I would be for that chicken!)

After you have had your fill of good southern cuisine, head downtown to Sessions Cafe for a vanilla latte. Good vibes, very photo worthy environment. You can also get cocktails there in the evening as they have a full bar.

After Sessions Cafe, head to the appointment that you made ahead of time at Wake Foot Sanctuary for an indulgent foot soak.  Add an additional massage for a full spa experience. I did the head, neck and shoulders. You will not regret the time you spend in their comfy space with their incredible staff.

After your morning fun, browse around the Grove Arcade and explore the shops inside. Make sure you visit the Asheville Bee Charmer and taste the incredible infused honey. (Locally sourced, they are delicious!) Spend a little extra time popping in the shops around downtown. Don’t miss the Battery Park Book Exchange to grab a glass of champagne and be surrounded by cozy books. Pop into Pollen for unique coffee drinks and a full flower bar to grab a couple stems, because what says girls day more than flowers!

Hemingway's Cuba Restaurant in Asheville, NC

End your afternoon at Hemingway's Cuba rooftop restaurant and bar. They open at 4:30pm and you can get in and start with one of their excellent mixed drinks, and get a few items off their small bites menu to share. I recommend the Yuca fries, burger sliders, and the ham croquettes. The absolute best cocktail on their menu is Luna's Lemonade (for all my lavender girls out there) but you feel like you’re in the Caribbean with their white couches and palm plants, so a spritz is also an exquisite way to relax into the night.

At this point, you have had a full day of fun and relaxation. You may be ready to go back to the hotel or AirBnB and just chill. If you’re still feeling adventurous, hit up Rabbit Rabbit or Salvage Station for live music, or even Tiger Mountain for a downtown bar experience. Dance your heart out, get an Uber back and get the best sleep of your life. Drink responsibly, but not too responsibly!

Ciao!
